I often get asked when the tide is the strongest which is particularly important for rivers and estuaries where you need to get the tide right for a good paddle, so lets quickly talk about the rule of 12ths...
WIND OOOOO. Had a few people ask what I use to check the wind. Don’t go out in an offshore wind - it’s a no no no no. This means when the wind is blowing away from the shore. Sometimes the sea looks beautifully calm when it’s an offshore wind but don’t be fooled, it can be very dangerous, the further you get out, the stronger the wind can be.
The only blue Monday we need is the Cornish seaside version 🌊
Annnnnd it’s the weekend! We will be getting the house ready for the air bnb guests arriving next week in boooootiful Cornwall but hopefully I’ll sneak a SUP in at some point! For those adventuring to the coast next week who usually paddle on lakes and canals, get used to how to read the tides, swell and wind etc to make your paddles as safe as they can be 🧜🏽‍♀️
Pre order is live for the next batch of @sealionboards due in July! GO GO GO!!! Head to their website to grab the sexiest board on the market 🌊 Did you know their deck pad is made of yukex? A sustainable alternative to rubber that Patagonia developed.
What a mad few days! @bsupauk qual done and my house is on the market! Eak! Just need the weather to warm up now for spring days like this! 💙
