21 GIFT IDEAS FOR A PADDLEBOARDER

If you have a loved one or friend that loves paddleboarding as much as I do then they might want some paddleboarding gifts! I have listed out 21 paddleboard gift ideas below. Hope you find it useful! This is not a paid post, these are items I have purchased myself or on my wish list!

1. SUP Pump

Although pumping a paddleboard with a foot pump is great for fitness, sometimes, it’s nice to have it done for you while you get ready, or if you have a couple boards to pump up. I asked a few of the ladies in our SUP group what they have as mine broke (so not the best recommendation), it was this one that kept coming up to buy. Goes to 20 PSI, feedback is that it’s a bit loud but inflates the board in about 10mins!

2. SUP CARRY SLING

My Sea Lion board comes with a strap which is fab but if don’t have one of these yet, it makes carrying your board much easier, you can walk much further with one of these, a great stocking filler!

3. Buoyancy Aid/Floatation DeviCe

Safety is a priority when paddle boarding, you should wear a buoyancy aid/floatation device. I love my RED PFD, it goes around my waste like a bum bag, if you need it, you simply pull the inflatable bladder out of the pocket, place over your head and inflate by pulling the inflation cord. It’s great for my sea paddles when I have time to put it on if I need to. However, in the winter or on rivers I do like to wear a standard buoyancy aid. In rivers where the water is flowing faster, you don’t have time to pull out an aid, so it’s better to have the Palm Touring Aid on. In the winter, I also feel safer knowing it’s on me and that if I fall in and get cold water shock, I don’t need to do anything.

13. Waist Leash

It’s much safer to paddle in a waist leash – if you get tangled or caught, you can quickly release yourself. These types of leashes will become the norm (hopefully) for SUP. You can buy a quick release belt to go with your standard coiled leash. I have one from palm and it’s great.
